Last Night While I Slept…

Last Night While I Slept...
A Poem of Personal Reflection
Last night while I slept,
I dreamt of a boy.
A boy that had nothing,
not even a toy.
To have not a thing,
would make most furious.
But with nature his friend,
he grew more curious.
Last night while I slept,
I dreamt of a young man.
His wallet had holes,
and nothing but sand.
While others were planning,
the building of mansions,
He opened his heart,
to fulfill his true passion.
Last night while I slept,
I dreamt of a man.
He was old and alone,
had no one to hold hands.
The anger of age,
made many despise,
but this man found Self,
the gift of the wise.
This morning as I woke,
I saw a reflection,
Of a boy, and two men,
ready for connection.
